Wahroni, Tangerang, Banten – Heavy rain and strong winds inundated Soekarno-Hatta International Airport on Monday night, causing minor disruptions at Terminal 3, where water seeped into the international arrivals area

One airport user, Jamal, said that water briefly flooded the exit gate area of Terminal 3's international arrivals, although the level was not too high. Passengers who had just arrived were redirected to Gate 2 as a temporary measure.

"Water did get inside, but not too high. Passengers who had just arrived were redirected to (the route through) Gate 2," he said.

The impact of the bad weather was not limited to flooding; some passengers also experienced delays. A flight from Dubai was diverted to transit in Singapore before finally arriving in Jakarta.

"My relative flew back from Dubai, but had to transit at Singapore airport. Thankfully, they have now arrived at Soekarno-Hatta International Airport," said another visitor.

Although there was minor flooding at Terminal 3 of Soekarno-Hatta International Airport, overall operations have now returned to normal. Services at the arrival gates are once again running as usual.

The Soekarno-Hatta Airport has experienced flooding several times during heavy rain. However, airport authorities stated that the water usually recedes quickly and flight operations return to normal once the flooding subsides.
