Annisa Febiola, Jakarta – The Indonesian Communication and Digital Ministry (Komdigi) warns 36 private Electronic System Providers (PSEs) to register immediately and update their data. Otherwise, the ministry will block their access.

"PSE entities that are required to register but have not yet done so may face administrative sanctions, including termination of access or blocking of services," said the Director-General of Digital Space Supervision Komdigi, Alexander Sabar, in a written statement quoted on Saturday, May 31, 2025.

The warning is in accordance with the Minister of Communication and Information Technology Regulation No. 5 of 2020 concerning Private PSEs. Alex stated that all private PSEs, domestic and foreign, must register and update their registration data to ensure its accuracy and reliability.

According to Alex, the ministry has carried out persuasive and extensive socialization approaches regarding this regulation to ensure national digital sovereignty and to protect the public as digital service users.

"Komdigi has officially notified the 23 identified private PSEs that have been operating and targeting the Indonesian market without fulfilling their registration obligations, as well as the 13 private PSEs that have not updated their registration information," he said.

"Komdigi urges all private PSEs required to register to immediately complete the process using the Online Single Submission System," said Alex.
