Havana – East Timor President and Nobel Peace Laureate Jose Ramon Horta handed over diplomas to Cuban doctors who wound up their work in that country.

Horta acknowledged the commitment and contribution of the Cuban health workers to the local health system and to the health of the people of his country. This statement was passed to the Cuban ambassador to East Timor Alina Aldama, PL news agency reported.

The Cuban diplomat expressed her gratitude and reiterated the commitment of the Cuban health personnel there to meet their social mission.

Ramon Horta spoke with the Cuban health workers and took a picture with all of them.
