Jakarta – President Joko "Jokowi" Widodo expressed his gratitude to his cabinet members as they gathered for their final luncheon of the current administration at the State Palace on Friday.

In an emotional speech, the president also offered an apology for any shortcomings during his leadership and assured them that his door would always be open if they wish to visit him in his hometown of Solo in the future.

Among the members of the Advanced Indonesia Cabinet was Defense Minister Prabowo Subianto, who is set to take the presidential oath of office on Sunday following his landslide victory in the February election.

"I want to thank you all for your support and hard work for this nation," the two-term president said.

"By Monday afternoon, I will be back in Solo. If you're visiting Yogyakarta, feel free to stop by Solo – it's only 30 minutes via the toll road. And if you're traveling to Surabaya, the toll road passes through Solo, so you're welcome to visit my house anytime," Jokowi added.

The massive toll road construction across the country is one of the hallmark legacies of the Jokowi administration, setting a new benchmark for future presidents.

Jokowi shared a table with Vice President Ma'ruf Amin, Prabowo, State Secretary Pratikno, and Chief Investment Minister Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan. However, as the informal gathering progressed, he moved from table to table to chat with other ministers, vice ministers, and heads of state agencies.

After lunch, the group took a casual group photo, with many of the VVIP guests sitting on the floor to fit into the frame.
