Petir Garda Bhwana, Jakarta – President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) praised the final result of the construction of the State Palace in the Nusantara Capital City (IKN), East Kalimantan. The building was just inaugurated by Jokowi on Friday, October 11, 2024.

According to Jokowi, the State Palace building in IKN has good quality. "If I have to speak honestly about the quality, it's good," said Jokowi in a written statement quoted from the Presidential Secretariat release on Sunday, October 13, 2024.

He stated that the construction of the State Palace in IKN was well done. He said the quality is evident in the completion of the construction, building painting, and the details of carvings at the IKN State Palace.

Jokowi believes that the quality of the construction of the IKN State Palace can support future government tasks. Moreover, he said, the building is designed to support various large activities that require spacious and representative spaces.

"We hope that in the future, large state activities that require a large venue can be conducted here, at IKN," he said.

In addition to appreciating the quality of the building, Jokowi also praised the timely completion of the construction of the State Palace in IKN. However, other buildings like the Garuda Palace are still unfinished.

Therefore, Jokowi mentioned that the inauguration of the Garuda Palace in IKN will be carried out by the president-elect, Prabowo Subianto. He said the government is making efforts to not rush the construction of infrastructure and ecosystem in IKN.

According to Jokowi, everything is proceeding as planned. He emphasized that maturity in planning is crucial in the construction process.

"We also do not want to rush, the most important thing is for everything to proceed according to the set timeframe," he said.
