Antara, Jakarta – The Minister of State Apparatus Utilization and Bureaucratic Reform, Abdullah Azwar Anas, said that the government has established a special formation for civil servant candidates (CPNS) to be posted in the new capital, Nusantara.
This announcement was made after a limited meeting with President Joko Widodo at the Presidential Palace on Monday to discuss preparations for the relocation of civil servants or ASN to the new capital.
Azwar said that for the year 2024, there is a formation of 130,341 CPNS in various central government agencies, including a special formation of 600 CPNS for the IKN authority and 40,021 formations for ministries/agencies operating in IKN.
"The government has allocated 5 percent for the best sons/daughters of Kalimantan out of a total of 40,021 CPNS positions in IKN," Azwar said.
In other words, there will be 2,000 spots specifically for men/women from Kalimantan in IKN's fresh graduate formation. The training allocation is expected to start in July and August.
ASN relocation
The government is also preparing a scenario for the gradual transfer of civil servants and government officials from Jakarta to IKN. Azwar added that there would be a transfer of civil servants from the regional governments around the IKN, who would go through an open and competitive selection process.
"This migration aims to ensure that ASNs who relocate to or are transferred from local governments around Kalimantan are those who are highly qualified, possess digital talents and are capable of multitasking. They are expected to deliver services in accordance with the standards of the e-government system," said Azwar.
This operation is part of the government's efforts to ensure that the transition to IKN is seamless and that the new capital will be run by skilled human resources ready to meet the challenges of government in the digital age.
