Hendrik Yaputra, Jakarta – The legal representative of the Anies Baswedan-Muhaimin Iskandar (Amin) campaign team, Bambang Widjojanto, said that President Joko "Jokowi" Widodo used or allowed his cabinet ministers to assist presidential candidate pair number 02, Prabowo Subianto-Gibran Rakabuming Raka, to secure victory in the election race.
"Jokowi apparently encouraged or at least allowed several cabinet members and state officials to be involved in the campaign of candidate pair 02," Bambang said in the first hearing of the presidential election dispute at the Constitutional Court on Wednesday, March 27.
The first hearing of the presidential election dispute took place today, March 27. The agenda is a preliminary examination of the applications brought before the court.
During the hearing, Bambang pointed out that several ministers, including Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Airlangga Hartarto, politicized social assistance to the residents of Mandalika, West Nusa Tenggara (NTB).
Additionally, Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and Investment Luhut Binsar Panjaitan supported Prabowo-Gibran through various media channels, Investment Minister Bahlil Lahadalia accompanied Gibran on his campaign in Papua on January 26 and established a volunteer group for Prabowo-Gibran.
"SOE Minister Erick Thohir never took a leave of absence or resigned from his ministerial position despite evidence of his involvement in a series of campaigns," Bambang said.
