Sultan Abdurrahman, Jakarta – Chairman of the NasDem Party's central executive board, Taufik Basari, affirmed that his side is currently in the process of gathering signatures from all members of the party faction in the House of Representatives (DPR) to exercise their right to inquiry into alleged fraud during the 2024 elections.
"At present, the leaders of the party faction are taking the necessary steps to submit the right to inquiry, which includes collecting signatures of faction members," said the member of House Commission III via a short message on Tuesday, March 5.
The NasDem Party did not participate in the call for support for the House inquiry during today's House plenary meeting, unlike PKS, PKB, and PDIP, which submitted their proposal to the House Deputy Speaker Sufmi Dasco Ahmad.
Taufik claimed that his side did not express support during the session because the NasDem party's stance was quite clear. "For us, the most crucial aspect is taking concrete steps," he added.
He mentioned that the NasDem Party had thrown support for the House inquiry in a joint conference with PKB and PKS. "It's already clear, so there is no need for us to repeat it at the plenary session."
The Prosperous Justice Party (PKS), the National Awakening Party (PKB), and the Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle (PDIP) submitted their proposals to exercise the right to inquiry into alleged electoral fraud during today's plenary session.
