Adil Al Hasan, Jakarta – Presidential candidate Ganjar Pranowo asked Commission II of the House of Representatives or DPR to immediately summon the General Elections Commission (KPU) and the Election Supervisory Agency (Bawaslu) concerning Sirekap and the alleged fraud in the recent election.
"Commission II should immediately address this situation. We're talking audit here," Ganjar told Tempo on Friday at his residence in Jakarta.
According to Ganjar, the DPR must control the situation concerning the Sirekap application. "I was once the head of Commission II and I feel frustrated now," said Ganjar.
Ganjar was also bewildered by KPU's response to the report of incorrect data input in the Sirekap application. The former Governor of Central Java said that the current election system could be dangerous

Deputy Media Channel for Ganjar-Mahfud National Winning Team (TPN) Karaniya Dharmasaputra urged KPU to deploy independent information technology experts to audit and investigate the source of data input errors in the Sirekap application.
Sirekap or Recapitulation Information System is an application developed by KPU to publish vote counting results at polling stations(TPS) during the general elections.
Karaniya admitted that the technology used by Sirekap was quite sophisticated, namely Optical Mark Recognition (OMR) and Optical Character Recognition (OCR) technology which has the ability to convert data in the form of images into text.
"I was befuddled at how it was possible for a system developed by a state related to a sensitive event to be so incoherent, with such a high error rate. This is something we must investigate seriously in the future, Karaniya said. "Moreover, the Chairman of the KPU has acknowledged and apologized for errors at 2,325 polling stations.
This phenomenon, said Karaniya, must be resolved transparently and independently. Now is also the most appropriate momentum for DPR to summon the KPU to take responsibility for this data error, Karaniya concluded.
