He stressed the necessity for Indonesia to keep abreast of the continuous advancements in technology, particularly in the realms of security and defense, encompassing both traditional and non-traditional security facets.

Prabowo mentioned the crucial role of nurturing the younger generation in this pursuit.

"Guiding our youth to attain proficiency in science, cyber technology, and artificial intelligence is paramount. It's not solely about procurement; it's about mastering the knowledge and systems," he said.

His comments followed remarks by rival candidate Anies Baswedan, who mentioned the significance of leveraging cyber technology, artificial intelligence, and geospatial information from satellites in defense strategies.

Anies stressed the importance of establishing a robust, inclusive cyber defense structure involving multiple agencies.

Prabowo noted that while Anies' proposal appears promising in theory, "ultimately, it's not just about the tools we possess, but the individuals who operate these tools."
