Candra Kurnia, Cirebon – During his weekend visit to Cirebon in West Java, vice presidential candidate Gibran Rakabuming Raka participated in a unique futsal match alongside players donning sarongs, symbolically adorned with the number 2 – representing the ballot number of presidential candidate Prabowo Subianto and Gibran.

The relaxed yet spirited game took place at the Tuparev futsal pitch in Kedawung subdistrict, reflecting Gibran's approach to engaging with the community beyond traditional speeches and handshakes.

"Connecting and communicating with voters is paramount," Gibran said.

Alongside the sporting activity, Gibran began his bustling day in Cirebon with a morning run alongside his supporters. Later, he engaged in dialogues with prominent Muslim clerics Habib Thohir bin Yahya and Adib Rofiuddin Izza. He further explored the town's renowned handmade batik industry and met with local entrepreneurs to grasp firsthand insights into the challenges they face.

One significant focus of these interactions was gathering insights into the obstacles confronting small businesses, such as cumbersome licensing procedures, unlawful charges, and funding constraints.

Gibran said he will continue government policies aimed at digitalizing public services, including business licensing systems, as a way to combat corruption and eliminate illicit fees.

"A modernized licensing system, eliminating the need for in-person transactions, is pivotal in eradicating illicit practices associated with the process," he said.
