Antara, Jakarta – President Joko Widodo or Jokowi today, Dec. 21, 2023, left for East Kalimantan to monitor the progress of the construction of the Presidential Palace complex in the new capital of Nusantara (IKN). He was accompanied by State Secretary Minister Pratikno, Head of the IKN Authority Bambang Susantono, and IKN Development Curator Ridwan Kamil.
he visited the IKN to ensure that the facilities and design of the building were in line with the concept, including the installation of the Garuda wing, which will be the symbol of the Presidential Palace at the IKN, according to a written statement from the Presidential Secretariat's Press Bureau received today in Jakarta.
The state head then led the groundbreaking ceremony for several projects, ranging from security facilities to the education sector. These include the BSH Community Hub, The Pakubuwono Nusantara, the Nusantara Capital Military District Command (Kodim) A Post, and the Nusantara National Resort Police headquarters.
The President would also launch eco-friendly transportation and was scheduled to attend the groundbreaking ceremony of educational facilities, namely Gunadarma University's PSDKU Nusantara Campus Building II.
On Thursday afternoon, Jokowi will visit the traditional market in North Penajam Paser Regency to check commodity prices before returning to Jakarta.
