Dicky Kurniawan, Antara, Jakarta – According to the data provided by Pertamina Patra Niaga, there are currently 7,898,648 vehicles registered to the MyPertamina app. The registration was intended to ensure target precision for subsidized fuel oil (BBM) distribution such as Pertalite and Solar.
Out of those registered, Pertamina blocked around 232,000 vehicles nationwide for infringement indication. According to Pertamina, these people registered false data to enjoy subsidized fuel.
"Until now, Pertamina has blocked almost 232,000 vehicles nationwide due to disparity between the data in MyPertamina and those in the police registry," Riva Siahaan, the President Director of Pertamina Patra Niaga said, as quoted from Antara on Monday, Nov. 27, 2023.
Pertamina has been using barcodes for BBM transactions and will continue to coordinate with the Traffic Corps of the National Police to strengthen its system. Unregistered vehicles in the police database would not be accepted to register at the MyPertamina application.
"We will only serve taxed vehicles," Riva said.
Commission VI of DPR member Andre Rosiade mentioned earlier that supervision of the BBM supplies and unjust customer issues are mutual problems to be resolved by all relevant institutions. Andre also said that the national fuel supply this year was smaller compared to 2022's supplies.
