Amelia Rahima Sari, Jakarta – State-owned gas and oil firm Pertamina through its subsidiary PT Pertamina Patra Niaga officially sells bioethanol fuel Pertamax Green 95 today, July 24, 2023.

"We are introducing Pertamax Green 95," said Pertamina Patra Niaga Director, Riva Siahaan, at the MT Haryono gas station, Jakarta, on Monday, July 24, 2023. "With the first sale of Pertamax Green, it is hoped that Pertamax series lovers will have new options and choices at good quality."

Riva explained that the fuel blend of 92-octane Pertamax and 5-percent ethanol offers better acceleration because it has a research octane number or RON 95, which is higher than Pertamax.

Claimed to be an environmentally friendly fuel, Pertamax Green is priced at Rp13,500 per liter and available at five public gas stations in the capital city, namely MT Haryono, Fatmawati 1, Fatmawati 2, Lenteng Agung, and Sultan Iskandar Muda Kebayoran gas stations.

Pertamax Green 95 is also sold at ten gas stations in Surabaya, namely Jemursari, Soetomo, Mulyosari, Merr, Ketintang, Karang Asem, Mastrip, Citra Raya Boulevard, Juanda, and Buduran gas stations.

"Pertamina Patra Niaga hopes that the government support serves as a synergy to encourage the expansion and development of Pertamax Green 95 in all regions of Indonesia," Riva said.
