Antara, Jakarta – President Joko Widodo visited former vice president Try Sutrisno who is being treated at the Gatot Soebroto Army Central Hospital in Jakarta, Friday, December 23. Jokowi arrived at around 14:40 and was welcomed by the hospital's chief, Lt. Gen. TNI dr. Albertus Budi Sulistya.
The President went straight to the Kartika Pavilion where Try Sutrisno's room is located.
In an official statement received Friday, Jokowi said that Try was "in good and stable condition, healthy."
The President said that he talked with the former ABRI Commander. "I had a lot of conversations with Pak Try and he conveyed many things about this nation and country," he added.
Jokowi added that, according to the head of the hospital, Try Sutrisno, the 6th vice president of Indonesia, is now doing much better and is allowed to walk.
"We pray for Pak Try's recovery and hopefully he can go home soon to be with his family and stay healthy," Jokowi said.
