All adult foreign nationals in Indonesia can now sign up to get their COVID jabs, with the Chamber of Commerce (Kadin) in Jakarta now accepting vaccine registrations for a date set next week.

In a letter dated Aug. 18, Kadin DKI Jakarta announced that they are facilitating a vaccination program on Tuesday, Aug. 24 for unvaccinated foreigners, which will use the Sinopharm COVID-19 vaccine procured under Indonesia's Gotong Royong scheme.

Under this program, foreign nationals must be at least 18 years old and able to provide documentation such as a Temporary Stay Permit (KITAS), Permanent Stay Permit (KITAP), Residence Certificate (SKTT), or a passport. In addition, they are expected to pay IDR700,000 (US$48.35) for two doses of the vaccine. The first dose will be rolled out at Jakarta City Hall, and those who are interested can register for it here.

Previously, only foreign nationals meeting specific criterias were allowed to participate in the government's free mass vaccination program, including elderly people over the age of 60 and those living in neighborhood units (RT) or community units (RW) deemed vulnerable to coronavirus transmission.
