Dewi Nurita, Jakarta – A number of Cabinet members took to social media to extend their birthday wishes as President Joko "Jokowi" Widodo on Monday, June 21, celebrates his 60th birthday.

One of the birthday wishes came from the Education, Culture, and Research Minister Nadiem Makarim in his latest Instagram post which reads: "Happy birthday Mr. President Joko Widodo. Wishing you the best of health, strength, and spirit to continue building Indonesia."

Not stopping on wishing the President well, Nadiem Makarim said Jokowi is one of Indonesian figures that continues to inspire him, mainly as a hard worker and a person who does not quit easily.

Echoing Makarim's birthday wishes was Agriculture and Spatial Planning Minister Sofyan A. Djalil, who congratulated Jokowi for his 60th birthday and wished the president with great health to "captain the current government."

The former governor of Surakarta (Solo) and Jakarta was born in Surakarta, Central Java on June 21, 1961, and is known to not hold birthday events. This year, Jokowi seems to continue the tradition as he is scheduled to conduct regular state duties.
