M Rosseno Aji, Jakarta – The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) spokesman Ali Fikri strongly denies allegations stating that its sting operation (OTT) had been compromised prior to the arrest of the General Elections Commission (KPU) commissioner Wahyu Setiawan.

This allegation comes after the fact that one of the graft suspects, Harun Masiku, who's also a PDIP legislative candidate, was overseas just two days before the sting operation was commenced.

"We do not see it from the viewpoint of possible leaks or not, our information is obtained through strategic means of investigation," said Ali Fikri at his office on Monday, January 13.

He said the anti-graft body will further coordinate its efforts with the Directorate-General of Immigrations to track down the man. Ali also opened the possibility of requesting the assistance of Interpol and the Foreign Affairs Ministry.

Previously, Immigrations stated Harun Masiku had traveled to Singapore two days before KPK's sting operation commenced and had been overseas since January 6th. After arriving in Singapore, Immigrations directorate-general Arvin Gumilang said Harun's whereabouts is currently unknown.
