Budiarti Utami Putri, Jakarta – House of Representatives' (DPR) legal commission III frets on the attitude shown by the current Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) management in the public hearing with KPK leader candidates today.

One of the highlighted issues discussed in the hearing is the demeanor shift from how they were first tested by the DPR to how they ran the anti-graft organization.

"They agreed with Commission III in the test, but it all changed once they run their task. This [sudden change] must be contemplated together," said Commission III member from the PDIP faction, Masinton Pasaribu.

Masinton went as far to call current KPK leaders as anarchists since the organization led by Agus Rahardjo often disagrees with the decisions made by the House and the government. One example Masinton mentioned is their disagreement with the revision of the KPK Law No.30/2002.

"How our friends at KPK think can be considered anarchic, acting unconstitutionally against the State's decisions. We do not want KPK leaders such as that," said the PDIP politician.

This sentiment was echoed by legal commission member and Gerindra Party politician Muhammad Syafii, who quipped about the fact that the organization's leaders are the most vocal to oppose the revision.

"Please, convince us so that these ten candidates will not turn out to be the same who has different statements in the Commission III and in public space," said Syafii.

House member and PPP politician went on to pitch the idea on a political contract imposed on upcoming KPK leaders to prevent future disobedience.
