Lani Diana Wijaya, Jakarta – Jakarta Council's head of Democrat Party faction Taufiqurrahman reminded the Indonesia Solidarity Party (PSI) to avert from spreading disinformation regarding PSI's suspicion of money politics happening in the process of electing Jakarta's vacant deputy governor position.
Taufiqurrahman said the allegation expressed by PSI central executive board Deputy Rian Ernest is not backed by strong evidence. "Rian Ernest shouldn't try to be Mr. know-it-all," said the Democrat politician on Tuesday, July 16.
Not only did he accuse Rian Ernest's statement as prejudicial, but he also expressed that he felt personally attacked since Taufiq is a member of the team tasked to elect a deputy governor which went vacant after Sandiaga Uno ran for the vice presidency in this year's election.
Taufiq also stated that he plans to report Rian Ernest to the police on Wednesday for alleged defamation.
Previously reported, Rian Ernest suspected money politics exists in the search for Jakarta's deputy governor and claims the information came from two political elites who he does not dare to mention.
