Irsyan Hasyim (Antara), Jakarta – An expert witness presented by the Election Commission (KPU) Marsudi Wahyu Kisworo, explained that the vote counting information system website or Situng does not present significant benefits for any presidential candidate pair.
He made the statement in response to a question by KPU's legal team member Ali Nurdin during the 2019 presidential election dispute trial at the Constitutional Court (MK) on Thursday, June 20, 2019.
Marsudi explained that based on data, the error found in Situng was random. "We can only suspect [a fraud] if the error pattern is found in a specific area, a province, or a city," said Marsudi.
Marsudi added that the error data, which was presented based on each polling station (TPS), did not show any intentional structured errors.
For example, Marsudi mendtiond that in Aceh Province, the votes favored candidate pair number 02, Prabowo-Sandiaga. "When we see several examples of its C1 Forms, many of them were not filled," he said. "So in my opinion, I cannot suspect there was an intentional [foul play], it was human error," Marsudi added.
Marsudi then compared vote results from Situng, and the Kawal Pemilu website, which was initiated by members of the public. Both Situng and Kawal Pemilu showed similar results, according to Marsudi.
Furthermore, Marsudi refuted allegations on vote reduction for candidate number 02 caused by an error in data entry. He argued that the error in data entry occurred for both candidate pair.
