Dewi Nurita, Jakarta – The TKN campaign team backing incumbent presidential candidate Jokowi recently had the time to respond to pieces of evidence Prabowo Subianto's campaign team (BPN) presented in a symposium on Tuesday, May 14.

TKN spokesman Arya Sinulingga firmly stated that the data presented by Prabowo's campaign team are definitely invalid.

Arya chose to focus on four elements that often arise whenever Prabowo's camp accuses of electoral rigging:

BPN's constant changes in claimed winning percentage

Prabowo camp's initial winning claim initially was 62 percent, but in the symposium held on Tuesday the data, they presented changed to 54.24 percent. "How can the data change ever so significantly. That itself shows the data they based it on is vague," said TKN spokesman Arya today.

Incomplete data collection in polling stations (TPS)

Arya said that BPN's task force information system directory calculates less than 100 percent in a number of poll stations but continues to claim wins in poll stations they incompletely calculated.

"How could they not calculate to 100 percent? This means they don't utilize excel but rather an Abacus," he asked.

Increasing political participation misinterpreted as vote ballooning

Prabowo's camp claims there are vote ballooning in East Java compared to the data they obtained regarding the region's 2018 regional election (Pilkada) final voters' list (DPT). The DPT in 2018 saw 19.5 million voters while 2019's presidential election saw 24.7 million voters.

Prabowo's camp sees this as a vote ballooning while TKN insists that it is down to voters' participation. It saw 69.55 percent of voters' participation in the 2018 regional election compared to 80 percent in the presidential election.

Phantom poll stations

The Prabowo camp said that the TPS 13 poll station in Nanggerang Sukabumi is a phantom TPS since it houses numerous people that share the same birth date. However, Arya mentioned that TKN's volunteers at this specific TPS saw Prabowo-Sandiaga win with 130 votes while Jokowi – Ma'ruf Amin lost with only 47 votes.

"They say that it is a "tuyul" TPS. But it is Prabowo who won in that TPS. So who's the tuyul (child ghost) now?" said Arya.
