Rizki Fachriansyah, Jakarta – On the eve of Wednesday's presidential election, undecided voters may want to participate in a quiz designed to assess how one's personal political views align with the ideas and/or programs proposed by the presidential and vice presidential candidates.
The quiz, which can be accessed at PilahPilihPilpres.com, offers a number of questions related to various issues including governance, the economy, human rights and culture. Users can answer each question by choosing one response from the available multiple choices.
The multiple choices include an alternative political view not associated with either presidential ticket. The quiz also provides additional background information that explains each possible answer.
At the end of the quiz, the website compiles and assesses users' responses as the basis for the final result, informing users which presidential ticket they are most compatible with. The quiz also informs users if their responses are incompatible with the views espoused by the Joko "Jokowi" Widodo-Ma'ruf Amin and Prabowo Subianto-Sandiaga Uno presidential tickets.
PilahPilihPilpres.com is run by an independent team with no affiliation to any political party, according to its website.
Asanita Fahda, one of the quiz creators, said she expected the quiz to increase political engagement in the country. "I hope initiatives like ours will inspire others to be more involved in our country's democracy," Asanita said in a statement.
