Antara, Jakarta – Indonesia's Head of the Lampung High Prosecutor's Office (Kajati) Danang Suryowibowo stated that his office will not tolerate and is ready to prosecute any party responsible for food poisoning incidents in the Free Nutritional Meal (MBG) program in the region.
"If you follow the developments, the MBG Program has been running for over a year. And I think the time for improvement is over, and everyone should be ready for this well-established program to continue even better," said Danang Suryowibowo in Bandarlampung on Monday.
Therefore, if there are any incidents that are detrimental to the community, such as food poisoning among recipients, his office will process the case according to regulations.
"If there is another case of food poisoning in Lampung, we will no longer tolerate it. I will immediately send a report to the National Intelligence Agency (Jamintel) and the Special Crimes Agency (Jampidsus). We will immediately report it to the central government and process it according to the ongoing process at the central level," he said.
He explained that strict supervision will also be carried out at the regional level, including on food procurement aspects of the MBG Program.
"Actually, all of this already has processes in place, such as supervision, nutritional monitoring, and so on. This should be able to anticipate any undesirable events," he said.
His team is currently monitoring and following developments and instructions issued at the central level regarding the MBG Program in Lampung.
"So far, there have been no further cases; we are still monitoring. In Lampung, if there are any findings or reports, we are open to receiving complaints, and together with the local government, we will continue to oversee this program to ensure its benefits to the community," he added.
Regarding the alleged sale of SPPG points or the misuse of the Rp10,000 per portion of MBG, his team will examine the evidence and facts on the ground for follow-up.
"Regarding the Rp10,000 per portion, which is the community's right, it should be managed appropriately and for its full benefit. It should not be manipulated or profit-seeking. Therefore, if there is any misuse, we will process it and monitor this. Everything should be recorded and transparent," said Danang Suryowibowo.
