Antara, Jakarta – President Prabowo Subianto recently told American investors to not worry about Indonesia's investment climate.

Prabowo is currently in Washington for the Board of Peace's inaugural meeting and a trade deal signing with his American counterpart Prabowo Subianto. Ahead of these meetings, Prabowo met with US business representatives on Wednesday local time to woo them into putting their money into Indonesia.

"We understand that only with stability, good governance, can there be a climate that is attractive to foreign investors. No one wants to invest in a situation or in an atmosphere of uncertainty, instability, or even chaos," Prabowo said, as reported by the state news agency Antara.

"We are very fortunate that Indonesia has enjoyed quite a long period of relative stability, relative peace," Prabowo said.

According to Prabowo, Indonesia's economy has been growing at around 5%, and the president is even upbeat that this year's growth will be much higher. Indonesia also amassed around $53 billion in foreign direct investment throughout 2025. He went on to say that Indonesia had maintained "fiscal discipline" and kept inflation under control.

"We are all open. We want, we need investment. We want more investment ... and are confident that we are competitive. We are attractive, and have a lot of minerals that are necessary for new technologies," Prabowo said.
