Hanin Marwah, Jakarta – The Commission for Missing Persons and Victims of Violence (Kontras) has opened an online complaint post for missing persons. Kontras has opened the post to respond to the abundance of information on missing persons during the mass demonstrations in Indonesia from August 25 to 31, 2025.
Kontras Coordinator, Dimas Bagus Arya, stated that dozens of individuals are still missing based on reports since the post was opened. Dimas stated that as of today at 18:10 local time, "There are approximately 23 individuals who have not yet been located," said Dimas when contacted on Monday, 1 September 2025.
In his statement, Dimas provided details of the victims such as their names and the last known location. The details are as follows: 1 person from Bandung, 1 person from Depok, 15 people from Central Jakarta, 2 people from East Jakarta, 2 people from North Jakarta, and 1 person with an unknown location.
Dimas requested Tempo to also publish the names of the missing victims to broaden the possibility of identification and search. Here are the 23 names of individuals who are still missing as of today based on Kontras' records:
