M. Raihan Muzzaki, Jakarta – Deputy Minister of Manpower, Immanuel Ebenezer, hopes that President Prabowo Subianto will grant him amnesty after being declared a suspect in a corruption case related to the management of health and work safety certification (K3) at the ministry.

"Hopefully, I will receive amnesty from President Prabowo," said Immanuel as he was about to enter the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) vehicle at the KPK building in South Jakarta on Friday, August 22, 2025.

Before entering the KPK's detention vehicle, he apologized to Prabowo for getting involved in the corruption case. Noel, as he is affectionately called, claimed that the case implicating him as a suspect was not related to the extortion of K3 certification management.

"I apologize to my children and wife, and I also apologize to the Indonesian people. I also want to clarify that I was not caught red-handed," he said.

Immanuel exited the KPK building with 11 other suspects, all wearing orange KPK vests. Noel was at the front, followed by the 10 other suspects lining up towards the back as they were about to enter the black Isuzu Elf KPK detention vehicle.

KPK has declared Deputy Minister of Manpower Immanuel Ebenezer as a suspect in this matter. "The KPK revealed that despite a K3 certificate fee of Rp275,000, based on the facts on the ground, laborers were required to pay Rp6 million," said KPK Chairman Setyo Budiyanto at the Red and White Building of the KPK on Friday.

In addition to Immanuel, KPK has named 10 other individuals as suspects. Therefore, the total number of suspects in this case is 11 people.

This case resulted from an undercover operation conducted by the KPK on Wednesday, August 20, 2025. The KPK arrested 14 individuals at various locations, including employees of the Ministry of Manpower and private individuals.

KPK also seized 15 vehicles and 7 motorcycles, one of which belongs to Noel. Additionally, KPK confiscated cash amounting to Rp170 million and US$2,201. "The KPK has found at least two pieces of evidence and has escalated this case to an investigation," said Setyo.
