Eka Yudha Saputra, Jakarta – Member of the Indonesian House of Representatives (DPR) Commission V from the PDIP faction, Adian Napitupulu, raised concern about claims made by President Prabowo Subianto during his state address at the Annual Session of the People's Consultative Assembly (MPR) at the Parliament Complex of the Indonesian Parliament, Jakarta, on August 15, 2025.

"We must examine whether his claims reflect reality, whether about job creation, economic growth, or other issues concerning the people," Adian said at the parliament complex.

This Deputy Secretary-General of the Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle also spoke on foreign companies doing business in Indonesia, but taking their profit overseas with them. He mentioned ride-hailing applications as an example and queried the government's stance over this phenomenon.

"The government must take a stance against such a situation. Not mere statements, but concrete actions," he said.

Prabowo claimed to have made significant achievements since taking office 299 days ago, with one of them being successfully achieving 5.12 percent of economic growth amidst global pressure.

Prabowo also reported investment realization worth Rp942 trillion during the first semester of 2025, up 13.6 percent compared to the same period last year. This figure even exceeded the 2025 State Budget target for year-end. "These investments have provided jobs for 1.2 million people," said Prabowo.

The Chair of the Gerindra Party also claimed to have successfully saved Rp300 trillion from the State Budget, which was prone to misuse. Such misuses, he said, often occur during foreign visits, procuring office supplies, and other budget items that have been sources of corruption and abuse of power.
