Nanda Febrianto, Jakarta – The TNI Headquarters is coordinating with the Attorney General's Office to investigate Marcella Santoso's statement (MS), a suspect in a case of alleged obstruction to case handling, related to negative content in the TNI Law Draft.

This was conveyed by the Head of the Indonesian National Armed Forces Information Center (Kapuspen) Major General TNI Kristomei Sianturi when he visited the Attorney General's Building for Military Crimes (Jampidmil) in Jakarta, Friday.

"We want to know the results of the investigation from the Attorney General's Office itself, meaning that it is related to the TNI Bill petition," he said.

Kristomei said this investigation was based on a video of Marcella Santoso's confession which was shown at a press conference on Tuesday (17/6). The suspect Marcella admitted that he was involved in making negative content about the TNI and Indonesia Bill being dark.

Furthermore, said Kristomei, there are several data that the Attorney General's Office needs to follow up on the alleged flow of funds for making negative content by Marcella Santoso to certain parties, such as non-governmental organizations (NGOs), foundations, and certain people.

The deepening was carried out to find out the motives and other actors in this case considering Marcella is not the party who has expertise in buzzer.

"So, he has acknowledged that there is a flow of Rp500 million in funds, 2 million US dollars to certain people who need to be investigated later. This is just a unilateral statement from MS. That is, we need to explore it again," said Kristomei.

At the previous press conference (17/6), the Director of Investigation at the Attorney General's Office Jampidsus Abdul Qohar showed a video of Marcella Santoso's apology for being involved in making negative content related to the Prosecutor's Office.

"Antara lain terkait dengan isu kehidupan pribadi Bapak Jaksa Agung (ST Burhanuddin), isu Bapak Jampidsus (Jampidsus Febrie Adriansyah), isu Bapak Dirdik (Direktur Penyidikan pada Jampidsus, Abdul Qohar), dan bahkan terdapat juga isu pemerintahan Bapak Presiden Prabowo, seperti petisi RUU TNI dan juga Indonesia dark, kata Marcella dalam video.

He admitted that he was sorry for not re-checking the contents of the content so that the scattered uploads gave pain to the affected parties.

"For that, from the bottom of my heart, I would like to express my regret and I apologize to the gentlemen (the prosecutor's office) and maybe other parties involved and affected," he said.

The advocate emphasized that he had never had any hatred for the institutions of the Prosecutor's Office, government, or personnel.

Marcella also admitted that he saluted the efforts and spirit of law enforcement carried out by the Prosecutor's Office.

At the end of the video, the short-haired woman also prays that the prosecutor's officials are always protected in their work.

Marcella Santoso as an advocate is one of the suspects in the alleged bribery case for the release of the export case of crude palm oil (CPO) or cooking oil raw materials at the Central Jakarta District Court.

In developing his case, Marcella was also charged as a suspect in handling three cases at the Attorney General's Office.

The three cases are a criminal act of corruption in providing CPO export facilities and their derivatives, a criminal act of corruption in tin commodity trading in the PT Timah Tbk IUP area, and a criminal case of corruption in sugar importation activities on behalf of Tom Lembong.

Most recently, in early May 2025, Marcella was also charged as a suspect in the alleged money laundering case (TPPU) with the initial criminal act of alleged bribery in the CPO release verdict.
