M. Rizki Yusrial, Jakarta – The Indonesian Child Protection Commission (KPAI) strongly condemns a Facebook group allegedly containing incestuous or 'incest' content. The group named 'Fantasi Sedarah' (Incest Fantasy) has been removed by Meta for violating the rules.

Commissioner of KPAI Subcluster for Child Victims of Pornography and Cyber Kawiyan stated that the exposure of the group is evidence that cases of child sexual violence are still prevalent, with the majority remaining undisclosed, much like an iceberg phenomenon. "Most cases of sexual violence are even committed by close relatives, including parents," she said when contacted by Tempo on Sunday, May 18, 2025.

Kawiyan conveyed that social media is often utilized as a platform to disseminate negative content, including pornography. However, this should be preventable as it is regulated by the Electronic Information and Transactions Law (UU ITE). "Yet, there are still numerous violations of this law. Many parties continue to upload content that violates decency," she said.

Regarding the activities in the incest group on Facebook, Kawiyan mentioned that it violates Law Number 35 of 2014 concerning Child Protection.

Furthermore, the Jakarta Metro Police have also been investigating the accounts of the group that are currently being widely discussed on social media. "We have coordinated with the Cyber Directorate of the Jakarta Metro Police to investigate and delve into the Facebook account," said Head of the Public Information Subdivision of the Jakarta Metro Police, AKBP Reonald Simanjuntak, when met in Jakarta on Friday.

Reonald stated that the Jakarta Metro Police have also coordinated with Meta and the Ministry of Communication and Digital (Komdigi) regarding the case.

This indecency case has also garnered attention from Deputy Chairman of Commission III of the Indonesian House of Representatives (DPR RI) Ahmad Sahroni. He urged the Cyber Crime Director of the Indonesian National Police (Dittipidsiber) and Komdigi to arrest the individuals behind the Facebook group containing incest content.

"This is very disgusting. Thus, I request the police and Komdigi to trace and take action against the managers and members of this vile group," said Sahroni in a statement in Jakarta on Friday.

Sahroni stated that the group featuring deviant content has the potential to cause victims, so law enforcement officials must act promptly. "They clearly facilitate deviation, and this is still a fantasy. If we don't stop it and let the fantasy become reality, it will result in extraordinarily devastating sexual violence against the victims," he said.
