Hendrik Yaputra, Jakarta – President Prabowo Subianto announced a free health check program for all citizens on their birthdays. The program is funded by the 2025 State Budget (APBN) with an allocation of Rp3.2 trillion.

"The program from President Prabowo's government, utilizing the 2025 APBN budget of Rp3.2 trillion," stated the official @gerdindra account on Friday, January 3, 2025.

Individuals celebrating their birthdays are encouraged to visit the nearest Health Center with their Identity Card (KTP) to avail of this free health screening. The program covers all age groups, from toddlers and teenagers to adults and the elderly.

Previously, Head of the Presidential Communications Office Hasan Nasbi said that the government would conduct a free health check program targeting 52 million Indonesians in 2025. This program is intended as a form of health prevention for the community.

"Because there are concerns. We must consider this a serious matter, and this is so that the curative aspect (health) is not too much of a burden. If TB cases increase, it will be a problem," said Hasan, as quoted by the BPJS Kesehatan YouTube channel on September 25, 2024.

Minister of Health Budi Gunadi Sadikin emphasized that the screening would not be like a medical check-up in a hospital. To support the successful implementation of this program, he said the Ministry of Health is equipping 10,000 health centers with the necessary blood laboratory equipment.
