Daniel A. Fajri, Jakarta – President Joko Widodo or Jokowi inaugurated road construction and repair on 33 roads across East Java province, totaling 275 kilometers, with a substantial budget of Rp925 billion.

The work is an implementation of the Presidential Instruction (Inpres) for the development of road infrastructure in Madiun Regency, East Java, on Friday, March 8, 2024.

In his speech, Jokowi said that "this is not a small budget," highlighting the government's commitment to improving infrastructure in the region.

He was accompanied by Defense Minister Prabowo Subianto and Public Works and Housing Minister Basuki Hadimuljono during the inauguration ceremony.

The state head embarked on a working visit to East Java, commencing on Friday, March 8, 2024. The Indonesian Presidential Plane-1 carrying him and the entourage landed at Iswahjudi Air Force Base, Magetan Regency, at approximately 08:20 local time.

Upon arrival, President Jokowi was accorded a warm welcome by Indonesian Military Commander General Agus Subiyanto, Air Force Chief of Staff Marshal Fadjar Prasetyo, Acting Governor of East Java Adhi Karyono, East Java Police Chief Inspector General Imam Sugianto, and other military personnel.
