Antara, Jakarta – Coordinating Minister for the Economy Airlangga Hartarto said Indonesia still needs 9 million digital talents to fulfill its digital economy potential of US$146 billion in 2025.

"The government has made various supports to prepare Indonesia's digital talents, including through programs such as Pre-Employment Cards, Digital Literacy National Movement, Digital Talent Scholarships, Digital Leadership Academy, and Sea Labs Academy," he said at the Budi Luhur University graduation, on Wednesday, April 5.

He said the current value of Indonesia's digital economy reached 40 percent of the value of the digital economy in ASEAN, which is worth US$70 billion.

The development of human resources to become digital talent also needs to be done to prepare Indonesia Gold in 2045.

On this occasion, Airlangga said that the graduates of Budi Luhur University had various choices of job opportunities, both as professionals, educators, and entrepreneurs.

The government has also provided various supports so that the workforce can adapt to the needs of the labor market, generate new jobs, maintain business conductivity, and facilitate financing.

"For graduates willing to become entrepreneurs, the government provides various facilities, including credit at various levels in an integrated manner," Airlangga explained.

Beginner entrepreneurs can take advantage of the Super Micro People's Business Credit (KUR) with a maximum loan amount of 10 million for MSMEs and with an interest of 3 percent. "If it develops, entrepreneurs can continue with Regular KUR, and finally finance it with commercial credit," he said.
