Fajar Pebrianto, Jakarta – President Joko Widodo or Jokowi today accepted Defense Minister Prabowo Subianto's invitation to attend the 2023 Defense Ministry Leadership Meeting. In the meeting, Jokowi ordered Prabowo to orchestrate or combine intelligence information held by several agencies.

"I conveyed how it is important for the Ministry of Defense to act as an orchestrator for intelligence information that we have on all lines," Jokowi said after the meeting on Wednesday, January 18, 2022.

Jokowi said that the intelligence owned by BIN (State Intelligence Agency), Polri, and the National Cyber and Crypto Agency (BSSN) "must be orchestrated so that they becomes solid information, each piece of information is given to us to develop a policy."

Previously, Prabowo met Jokowi on January 6. The Presidential Secretariat Office's deputy for protocols, press and media, Bey Machmudin, said that Prabowo requested to speak with Jokowi about the upcoming meeting of the leadership of the Ministry of Defense.

"[Prabowo] also invited and hoped for President's presence, if his schedule allows it," he said.

Prabowo's arrival was confirmed by the Defense Ministry's spokesman, Dahnil Anzar Simanjuntak, He did not provide details about the content of Jowoki and Prabowo's meeting.
