Tempo.Co, Jakarta – TNI Commander General Andika Perkasa missed the Armed Forces and National Police leaders meeting held today at the TNI Headquarters in Cilangkap, East Jakarta. President Joko Widodo said that Andika had tested positive for Covid-19.

During the meeting, Jokowi said that Andika was represented by the Chief of Naval Staff Admiral Yudo Margono. He did not say when Andika tested positive for Covid.

"This morning [Andika Perkasa] is represented by [the Chief of Naval Staff] because he had just contracted Covid," said Jokowi.

This year's leaders meeting has the theme 'TNI-Polri Ready to Support National Economic Recovery and Structural Reform'. The meeting is held online and offline in compliance with health protocols, with 168 people attending it physically while 226 joined online from 43 locations.

President Jokowi was one of the speakers in the meeting, along with MPR Speaker Bambang Soesatyo, DPR Speaker Puan Maharani, MA chairman Muhammad Syarifuddin, and MK chairman Anwar Usman.
