Antara, Jakarta – A total of 772 hotels, restaurants, and tourist attractions in West Java have obtained the CHSE (cleanliness, health, safety, environmental sustainability) certification from the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy.
The license is proof that the tourism products and services comply with the predetermined health protocols against Covid-19.
"We ensure that tourist sites in West Java are ready to accommodate local tourists. One of them is by tightening education and health protocols," said the province's Tourism and Culture Office Head Dedi Taufik in Bandung, Thursday, April 22.
Tourist sites are allowed to open for domestic visitors during the upcoming Eid al-Fitr holidays even though the government barred Eid homecoming (mudik). However, the opening of tourism must follow strict health protocols.
Dedi also ensured that the Covid-19 testing using the antigen test method will be implemented in a number of travel destinations.
These efforts were considered effective in preventing the virus transmission during this year's Eid al-Fitr holidays. "We will make sure to take samples [from visitors], but it is impossible to take them from all. Let's just wait for the central government's regulation," Dedi said.
