Antara, Jakarta – Chairperson of the Covid-19 Handling Task Force Doni Monardo called on all parties to comply with the traveling restriction during the upcoming holidays of Isra Miraj and Nyepi (Day of Silence), particularly the state apparatus (ASN) up to state-owned enterprises (SOE) employees.

"We hope that leaders of institutions, especially the Indonesian Military (TNI), National Police, and the Ministry of Home Affairs and SOE, can closely supervise their personnel and employees," said Doni in a virtual press conference on Monday, March 8, 2021.

As the micro-scale community activity restriction or Micro PPKM was extended from March 9-22, the government banned civil servants, TNI, and police personnel from traveling outside the city.

The ban will be valid this week from March 10 to 14, 2021, during the long holidays of Isra Miraj which falls on March 11 and Nyepi on March 14.

Other than state apparatus, the government urged private companies to restrict their employees from going on holidays. Doni said his side would coordinate with the private firms and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KADIN) to ensure the policy.

"If we can comply with all of these policies, we will be able to reduce daily cases and active cases of Covid-19, and in the end, we can suppress the death rate," said Doni.
