Jayanty Nada Shofa, Depok – The University of Indonesia's student executive body is holding the UI ArtX 2019 exhibition on campus from Nov. 24 to Nov. 29.

In its second year, the largest art exhibition at the university features paintings, live murals, digital installations, 3D art, comics, short stories, poems and photographs.

Artists featured in the exhibition include Garin Nugroho, Lugas Syllabus, Lenny Weichert, Dedy Sufriadi, Tisna Sanjaya and Hanafi. Eccentric raconteur Sudjiwo Tedjo, who also appeared last year, makes a return.

Curator Tommy F. Awuy chose the theme "Post-Apocalyptic" for the exhibition to highlight a lack of appreciation for art, which UI ArtX seeks to redress.

UI ArtX has also provided a space for students at the university to showcase their art.

The event is open for the public from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m every day until Nov. 29. Free tickets are available from UI ArtX's Instagram. You can catch the university's legendary bis kuning ("yellow bus") to take you to the student center (Pusgiwa) where the exhibition is held.
