Jakarta – The Committee for the Acceleration of Priority Infrastructure Provision (KPPIP) is targeting to complete 30 national strategic projects (PSN) worth Rp276.4 trillion in the third quarter of this year.
"Why the third quarter 2019? Because it is the end of the current administration," KPPIP Implementation Team chairman Wahyu Utomo said in Yogyakarta, Sunday, January 20.
The 30 projects consist of four dams, a smelter, six industrial zones, six roads, two trains, three airports, two Palapa Satellite rings, five special economic zones, and one campus.
Some projects with high investment values include the Morowali Industrial Estate (Rp105 trillion), the Konawe Industrial Estate project (Rp67.5 trillion), Buli Smelter (Rp19.7 trillion), Tanggamus Industrial Area (Rp17.5 trillion), and the Cikampek 2 Elevated tool project (Rp16.2 trillion).
If the 30 projects are actualized, then from 2016 to Q3/2019 the government would have completed 92 projects out of the 223 listed as PSN. "The total investment, for all projects, could reach almost Rp600 trillion," Wahyu said.
In addition to the 30 projects, Wahyu said, at the end of the third quarter of 2019 they are also expecting the completion of seven national private projects worth Rp109.2 trillion. The projects have entered the transaction stage.
