Novali Panji Nugroho, Jakarta – The sequel to the documentary film Dirty Vote is set for release in October 2025. The film will expose the methods by which the regime of President Prabowo Subianto and Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka is consolidating its power.
Dirty Vote O3 Director Dandhy Dwi Laksono stated that the film aims to analyze the future political trajectory of Prabowo and Gibran. "So, this is a story about how the Prabowo regime accumulates political power, controls the economy, dominates the parliament, and consolidates regulations to strengthen their rule," Dandhy said in an interview on Sunday, October 19, 2025.
He alleged that the current governing regime frequently unites three core forces to serve the interests of the oligarchs. These forces, he believes, will also be leveraged by Prabowo and Gibran for the upcoming 2029 election.
"These three forces are muscle, brain, and funds. We will reveal that in this film," said the director of the film Sexy Killers.
Unlike the first edition of Dirty Vote, this sequel does not solely focus on exposing election fraud committed by the oligarchs. According to Dandhy, the film is also intended as a projection of Indonesia's future fate under the leadership of the Prabowo-Gibran administration.
"Because the oligarch's agenda is far broader, more complex, and ambitious than just installing someone as president or achieving a legislative mission. There is a bigger agenda [for the regime] that we will unveil," he asserted.
Furthermore, he stated that the Prabowo-Gibran administration has steered Indonesia towards an authoritarian regime. The documentary sequel will analyze the specific steps used by the rulers to become authoritarian in the country.
Dirty Vote O3 will once again feature three researchers and constitutional law lecturers: Feri Amsari, Bivitri Susanti, and Zainal Arifin Mochtar. The four-hour film, which carries the tagline "Membaca Kartu-kartu Politik Oligarki" or "Revealing Oligarchic Political Cards," is based on research conducted by the production team over the past year. Dandhy stressed that the film is aimed not only at future election voters but at the entire Indonesian society.
The first edition of Dirty Vote was released on YouTube three days before the 2024 presidential election. That film presented data and outlined potential legal violations in the election, explaining the potential for fraud from a legal perspective in Indonesia.
