Ade Ridwan Yandwiputra, Jakarta – The South Jakarta District Court has set a preliminary hearing date for Lokataru Foundation Director Delpedro Marhaen Rismansyah and three other suspects in a case of alleged incitement to commit anarchic acts. The pretrial hearing is scheduled for Friday, October 17, 2025.
"The pretrial petition for Delpedro Marhaen Rismansyah will be heard on Friday, October 17, 2025," said the court's Public Relations Officer Rio Barten on Tuesday, October 7. He added that case number 132/Pid.Pra/2025/PN JKT.SEL is slated to begin at 09:00 AM local time in Courtroom 4.
Earlier, the Advocacy Team for Democracy (TAUD) filed a pretrial petition challenging the legality of the arrests and suspect designations made by police against Delpedro and several activists.
"We seek to test the validity of these coercive measures," said TAUD representative Afif Abdul Qoyim at the South Jakarta District Court on Friday, October 3.
TAUD's petition covers four detained activists: Delpedro Marhaen, Syahdan Husein of the Gejayan Memanggil movement, Khariq Anhar, a University of Riau student, and Muzaffar Salim, a staff member at the Lokataru Foundation. All four are currently held at the Jakarta Metro Police Headquarters.
The advocacy group argued that the arrests violated criminal procedural law. According to TAUD, Delpedro was never summoned or questioned before his arrest.
He was forcibly taken by Jakarta Metro Police officers from the Lokataru office in Pulo Gadung, East Jakarta, on Monday night, September 1, around 10:45 PM.
A few hours later, Muzaffar was also detained while at the police headquarters' canteen. Meanwhile, Khariq was reportedly arrested without due procedure at Soekarno – Hatta Airport on Friday, August 29, over social media posts related to protest activities under the @aliansimahasiswapenggugat account.
TAUD said Khariq's arresting officers did not wear police insignia or present an official assignment letter. He was not subjected to prior questioning and later claimed to have experienced physical violence during the arrest.
Syahdan was arrested in Bali on September 1, and the following day, the Jakarta Metro Police publicly named him as a suspect along with Delpedro and four others.
The four activists have been charged with inciting public unrest during the August 2025 demonstrations. They are accused under Article 160 of the Criminal Code, Article 45A(3) in conjunction with Article 28(3) of the ITE Law, and Article 76H in conjunction with Articles 15 and 87 of the Child Protection Law.
