Hendrik Yaputra, Jakarta – President Prabowo Subianto stated that the government will give advanced television sets to all schools in Indonesia. Schools in the most remote, forward, and outermost (3T) regions will also receive these advanced televisions.
"We will provide advanced TV screens, especially in remote areas and cities. So that teachers can have teaching materials," said Prabowo during the commemoration of National Education Day at SDN Cimahpar 5, Bogor, West Java, Friday, May 2, 2025, monitored via the Presidential Secretariat's YouTube channel.
The former Defense Minister stated that the provision of the advanced TVs could begin in two months. His goal was for all schools to have advanced televisions by mid-2026.
In the same speech, the head of state said that the government will gather hundreds of the best teachers. They will then be sent out to teach all over Indonesia.
President Prabowo previously promised to provide televisions to every school. The head of state believes schools in regencies and cities are national development centers.
Prabowo conveyed this during the National Teacher's Day address at the Velodrome, Rawamangun, East Jakarta, on Thursday, November 28, 2024. The former Defense Minister stated that schools must be good and clean.
The retired TNI General hopes that children can receive educational broadcasts and the necessary knowledge through these TV screens. Prabowo does not want any teacher to be lacking or unable to provide lessons to the children. "So, be patient, 4 more months," he said.
