Zacharias Wuragil, Jakarta – The joint Cartenz Peace Operation Team together with the Police Medical Team and the Police CVI have identified eleven bodies of victims of the killings of the West Papua National Liberation Army-Free Papua Movement (TPNPB-OPM). The eleven bodies were officially handed over to their families on Monday, April 14, 2025.
Deputy Head of the Cartenz Peace Operation, Senior Commissioner of Police. Adarma Sinaga said that the handover of the eleven bodies was carried out by the Cartenz Peace Operation Task Force and the Yakuhimo Regency Forkopimda. He said that the day before the Cartenz Peace Operation Task Force had handed over one body in the name of Ariston Kamma which was found at the Pegubin TKP to his family.
"This is part of our commitment to ensure that the victims return to their families properly and with dignity," said Adarma through a press statement on Monday, April 14, 2025.
The details of the 11 bodies that have been handed over by the families are as follows:
1. Wawan Tangahu, Dusun III, South Bolmon Regency, North Sulawesi. Bodies found at the crime scene Area 22 of the Yahukimo gold panning.
2. Suardi Laode alias Kaswadi, Dusun III, South Bolmon Regency, North Sulawesi. Bodies found at the crime scene Area 22 of the Yahukimo gold panning.
3. Stenli Humena, Kalama Darat Village, Sangihe Islands Regency, North Sulawesi Bodies found at the crime scene Muara Kum.
4. Yuda Lesmana, Jalan Paradiso Boarding House, Dekai. Bodies found at the crime scene Camp Muradala, Bingki Village.
5. Riki Rahmat, Ranomolua Village, Besulutu District, Konawe Regency, Southeast Sulawesi Province. Bodies found at the crime scene Camp Muradala, Bingki Village.
6. Muhammad Arif, Boarding House, Jalur II Dekai Settlement. Bodies found at the crime scene Camp Muradala, Bingki Village.
7. Safaruddin, Boarding House, Jalur II Dekai. The body was found at the Camp Muradala crime scene, Bingki Village.
8. Abdur Raffi Batu Bara, Boarding House, Jalur II Dekai. The body was found at the Camp Muradala crime scene, Bingki Village.
9. Stefanus Gisbertus, Tala Village, West Seram Regency, Maluku. The body was found at the Tanjung Pamali crime scene, Seradala District.
10. Zamroni, Dulak Hamlet, Gantung Village, Tegal Regency, Central Java. The body was found at the Tanjung Pamali crime scene, Seradala District.
11. Rusli, Buti Village, Merauke Regency, Papua. The body was found at the Area 22 Yahukimo gold panning crime scene.
The Cartenz Peace Operation Task Force ensures that the evacuation and identification process will continue, including the handover of other remains in the near future. "Efforts to pursue the perpetrators of this cruelty are still ongoing intensively," he wrote.
