Eka Yudha Saputra, Jakarta – Sebby Sambom, spokesperson for the West Papua National Liberation Army-Free Papua Movement (TPNPB-OPM), has denied the establishment of a new Defense Command (Kodap) III D Dulla in Intan Jaya, Central Papua.

Sebby clarified that the TPNPB-OPM central headquarters has not authorized any changes to the existing Kodap structure. He stressed that any structural modifications or new Kodap formations made without coordination from headquarters are considered unauthorized.

"Therefore, I deem it illegal as they are the work of ambitious individuals. There is no such thing as Kodap III D Dulla," Sebby told Tempo on Tuesday, March 18.

He further explained that any new Kodap must be officially approved and registered with the headquarters, located in Kodap I Jayapura. According to the registered structure, TPNPB currently operates 36 Kodap units. Sebby noted that Kodap III is already designated as Kodap III Nduga, and Intan Jaya has its own separate Kodap.

Sebby's statement was in response to reports by Jubi and Suara Papua on March 15, 2025, which claimed that Battalion Dullamo had been upgraded to Kodap III D Dulla. According to Jubi, Brig. Gen. Aibon Kogoya was appointed as Commander of Kodap III D Dulla. In a press release numbered 001/STPS/TPN-K3D/III/2025, Aibon announced that Kodap III D Dulla oversees three battalions with an expanded territorial command.

These battalions are: Battalion 1 Hetobia, operating in Hegenagai-Kampung Agisiga; Battalion 2 Ayopaa, covering Sugapa-Agisiga; and Battalion 3 Beogong, securing the Beoga area. Each battalion comprises three companies.
