Vedro Imanuel G, Jakarta – Pertamina Patra Niaga, a subsidiary of state-owned oil and gas giant Pertamina, affirmed that the company would comply with the government's policy regarding the distribution of subsidized fuel, including both Pertalite and Biosolar.

"Our principle is to follow the government's regulations," Corporate Secretary Heppy Wulansari confirmed to Tempo on Tuesday, September 24, 2024.

She explained that the distribution of Pertalite and Biosolar will continue according to the previously established government quota. This means there will be no reduction in the quota of subsidized fuel at Public Fuel Filling Stations (SPBUs). The quota for Biosolar remains at 17.8 million kiloliters, while Pertalite is 31.6 million kiloliters.

"The distribution of subsidized fuel, both Pertalite, and Biosolar at SPBUs, will proceed as per the government-set quota," she stated.

Although the discussion about limiting subsidized fuel has been postponed, Heppy mentioned that the socialization of MyPertamina QR code registration continues. This QR code is intended to be used as a requirement for refueling Pertalite and Biosolar. To date, the number of registered and verified users who have received the QR Code has reached 3.9 million.

Previously, Energy Minister Bahlil Lahadalia indicated that the implementation of a more targeted approach to subsidized fuel could not be carried out on October 1, 2024, as planned due to insufficient readiness. This postponement follows previous instances where the limitation on the purchase of Solar and Pertalite, initially intended for August 17, 2024, was subsequently postponed to September 1 and then further postponed to October 1.
