Ikhsan Reliubun, Jakarta – Indonesian President Joko Widodo or Jokowi's nephew, Bagaskara Ikhlasulla Arif, was appointed as Manager of Non-Government Relations at state-owned oil and gas giant PT Pertamina. Prior to joining Pertamina, he worked at state lender PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (BRI).
Irto Ginting, Corporate Secretary of Pertamina Patra Niaga, confirmed Bagaskara's appointment on Wednesday evening, June 5.
Meanwhile, Pertamina's Vice President for Corporate Communication, Fadjar Djoko Santoso, has yet to respond to Tempo's inquiries for confirmation.
Previously, Bagaskara publicized on his LinkedIn profile, "I'm happy to share that I'm starting a new position as Manager Non-Government Relation at PT Pertamina (Persero)!"
According to his page, Bagaskara graduated from Gadjah Mada University in 2016 and served as Assistant Manager at BRI from November 2018 to October 2021. In November 2021, he assumed the role of a Senior Expert in Government Relations at Pertamina. Then in March 2024, he was tapped as Non-Government Relations Manager at Pertamina under the leadership of Nicke Widyawati.
However, on Tuesday evening, June 5, Bagaskara's LinkedIn profile suddenly disappeared. Upon re-accessing the page at 22:34 Western Indonesia Time (WIB), the message "This profile is not available" was displayed. Earlier, at around 20:00 WIB, Bagaskara's statement was still visible.
Tempo attempted to reach out to BRI for confirmation of Bagaskara's previous role. As of this morning, no response has been received.
Bagaskara is the son of Arif Budi Sulistyo and Titik Relawati, Jokowi's youngest sister. The man, known as Bagas, is married to Ima Qoyyimah in Solo in 2022.
