Monique Handa Shafira, Jakarta – State-owned oil and gas company Pertamina (Persero), through its subsidiary Pertamina Patra Niaga, has decided not to increase non-subsidized fuel prices in June 2024. This move aligns with the government's efforts to maintain economic stability.

The decision comes from rising global oil prices and the weakening of the Indonesian rupiah against the US dollar.

"While the adjustment of non-subsidized fuel prices follows regulations, under the current circumstances, we support the government's efforts to maintain economic stability," said Irto Ginting, Corporate Secretary of Pertamina Patra Niaga, in a written statement on Saturday.

Pertamina adjusts its fuel prices monthly based on the US dollar exchange rate and the Mean of Platts Singapore (MOPS).

The following are the non-subsidized fuel prices from Pertamina for June 2024:

Pertamax: Rp 12,950/liter
Pertamax Green 95: Rp 13,900/liter
Pertamax Turbo: Rp 14,400/liter
Dexlite: Rp 14,550/liter
Pertamina Dex: Rp 15,100/liter

These prices apply to the Java region and areas with a motor vehicle fuel tax (PBBKB) rate of 5 percent.
