Daniel A. Fajri, Jakarta – President Joko "Jokowi" Widodo received the Road Map of Golden Indonesia 2045 from the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KADIN) chair Arsyad Rasyid. The road map contains program inputs and initiatives that are more coordinated and focused on achieving the 2045 development target.
Arsyad handed over the road map to the President during the Appreciation Night event in Penajam Paser Utara, East Kalimantan, on Friday, September 22, 2023.
Jokowi said that building the new capital city of Nusantara or IKN in East Kalimantan is a huge task. However, he is optimistic that the government will be able to hold the Independence Day ceremony on August 17 in the new capital next year.
"I know that everyone is working day and night to quickly complete the realization of our capital city, Nusantara," he said in a written statement, on Friday, September 22.
During the occasion, Arsyad did not elaborate on the road map. However, in his written statement published on Kadin's official website, he said that the benchmark for Golden Indonesia was not only the GDP but also how it could help the country escape the middle-income trap.
"We must be able to boost our per capita income, from the current level of around US$4,700 to US$13,000 by 2045," Arsyad said in a written statement on August 1, 2023.
Arsyad, who has been designing the Golden Indonesia Roadmap since early 2023, hoped that all parties could contribute to national development so that the roadmap would not only cover business ideas but also include all components of the nation.
