Fajar Pebrianto, Jakarta – The Indonesian Covid-19 task force announced on Thursday, April 28, 2022, that the daily growth of confirmed coronavirus cases was 412 with most of them coming from the capital city of Jakarta.
The largest number of confirmed cases amounting to 113 was recorded in the capital city of Jakarta, followed by West Java with 72 new daily cases, Central Java and Banten each logged 41 new cases, East Java saw 27, while Yogyakarta and East Nusa Tenggara logged 22 each.
Surprisingly, there are six provinces that reported zero cases within the past 24 hours. The six provinces are Bengkulu, Bangka Belitung, Central Sulawesi, Southeast Sulawesi, Gorontalo, and Maluku. Thursday's daily case log of 412 is lower than Wednesday's 617 new daily cases.
In total, there have been 6,042,072 Covid-19 cases in Indonesia since case number 1 was announced back in 2020.
Active cases have also dropped to 8,365 cases, with a reduction of 777 cases within the past 24 hours. Meanwhile, recovery cases in Indonesia have reached 5.8 million cases in total.
