M Rosseno Aji, Jakarta – The National Police confirmed they already have a list of positions to be occupied by former employees of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK). The positions will be based on the suggestion from the Ministry of Administrative and Bureaucratic Reform (Kemenpan RB).
"The National Police have prepared positions, and the Kemenpan RB has given input on which positions can be filled by the former employees," said the National Police's Head of the Public Information Bureau Brig. Gen. Rusdi Hartono, at his office, Jakarta, Tuesday, November 23.
Rusdi explained that not all employees will be tasked in the corruption eradication unit considering that they come from various expertise backgrounds, such as security, planning, up to human resources.
The National Police, he added, would just need the basic rules for recruiting 57 KPK employees who were fired as they failed to pass the national civic knowledge. Rusdi said the regulation is being finalized. "Hopefully, the legal umbrella will be in place soon," he said.
However, Rusdi stopped short of explaining in detail when the recruitment will take place. He said the National Police expected to hire them as soon as possible, pending on the rules. "Police want to give the best for the 57 former KPK employees," he said.
